Job Description: Customer Support Representative – Server Centre

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Customer Support Representative to join our Set Top Box Services team. The role involves providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and exceptional customer service to users of our set-top box products and services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring a seamless entertainment experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Technical Assistance: Provide prompt and effective technical support to customers using our set-top box products and services. Assist with device setup, configuration, software updates, and troubleshooting of technical issues.

2. Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve customer inquiries, technical problems, and service-related concerns. Escalate complex issues to senior technical staff or relevant departments when necessary.

3. Customer Communication: Communicate clearly and empathetically with customers via phone, email, or chat. Listen attentively to customer concerns, gather relevant information, and provide accurate solutions and information.

4. Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of our set-top box products and services, including features, functionalities, and compatibility with various entertainment platforms.

5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, technical solutions provided, and steps taken to resolve issues. Contribute to the creation and updating of a knowledge base for common technical problems and solutions.

6. User Education: Educate customers on the proper use of set-top box features, remote control functions, and available entertainment options. Provide step-by-step guidance for navigating menus and accessing content.

7. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure consistent and high-quality customer support. Review and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including technical support, product development, and quality assurance, to communicate customer feedback and contribute to product enhancements.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in customer support, technical assistance, or a similar role.

2. Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with set-top box technology and entertainment systems.

3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

4. Patience, empathy, and the ability to de-escalate tense situations.

5. Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and providing clear instructions.

6. Familiarity with customer support software and ticketing systems is advantageous.

7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment: This role involves working in a dynamic customer support center, providing remote assistance to customers. Shift work, including evenings and weekends, may be required to ensure comprehensive coverage.
